|
|
I don't know... I was just bored and wondered about what types of helmets people wear and why they enjoy it. I just went to the tack shop today and purchased my Charles Owen JR8 in all black, and I just LOVE it! So, if you ride, tell me about your helmet, why you like it, why you don't and ect. Hope it's not a bore!

I use charles owen as well! Dunno my size, but still.
I think any helmet could be the best, depending on what you head is shaped like. CO fit my head perfectly. Always has.
I have yet to land on my head, but I have dropped the helmet from signifigant heights and they seem to survive well. |

Yay! I know, Charles Owens are pretty indestrucable, lol. I love mine, feels like air to my head. And although I still get sweaty in the summer, my head never feels hot when I ride, which is great. And also, since I ride Hunter/Jumper, the helmet is conservative and looks really classic for Hunter or Jumper classes. They are so popular

I wear Tiperary(sp) helmets. I ride western, so it's a little different from the English helmets. |

I have a troxel. I hate it though, it has a stupid velcro brim. I need a new one, the one I have now is driving me insane and isn't really nice enough for shows. I've been borowing a friend's charles owen to show in lol |

lol. My sister has a troxel. Although, I don't think her visor(sp) falls off. I absolutly love my helmet. It's been through a face-plant, a really close almost hoof on the head(thank goodness it was only a pony..lol), and a lot of falls and almost falls. |

Tipperary helmets are sooo comfortable! If I didn't show so much, I would get one to wear all the time. Nice choice!
Troxels are great for beggining riders, more laid back riding styles, and schooling; I used to have one when I rode western and did 4H. But, as I became more interested in jumping and more dangerous equestrian sports, I advanced to an IRH, then a Charles Owen. I love Troxel because they have so many different styles and colors, and they're very affordable
Nice choices, guys!
