|
|
I recently bred my orange dwarf seahorse (LS Mini Verdant #957552) with someone's orange zebra seahorse (Sunkist Seahorse #990400) , and the baby turned out brown (#1009805)
Maybe there's some oddity about color breeding in seahorses, but I didn't think there was anything that complicated here? ^_^" I was under the impression that if the two parents matched color, the baby had a 100% chance of being the same color. I could be wrong, but it seemed strange to me.
Seahorses are kind of hard to raise anyway due to their tiny lifespan and health requirements, so I'm going to be really bummed if it turns out that this kind of thing is normal... |

SOmetimes animals will turn out the color of the other animal on the bloodlines. Try to find a brown on the parents bloodlines |

Merf. I bred the same pair and got another brown. This has never happened before in my experience. You sure it's normal? I'm not exactly new at breeding. This would be a third/fourth generation seahorse from my own line, and I've never had the color turn out to be something other than one of the parents. |
