Obedience Trial

[Chilly Girl]

I just back today from the trial, heres how it went by day-

Friday- She did awesome! It was just a run- through, but she would have qualified for a leg if it wasn't. I could not have asked her to do better!

Saturday- One word (DISASTER!) When heeling on lead, she never once got into heel position. On the figure eight, she heeled on my right side (only left is permitted.) On the stand foe exam, she flipped over on her back when the judge walked up to her. She had NEVER done that before! Then, when I told her to stay so I could walk to the other side of the ring and call her to come to me, she just followed me to the other side, there was to come. On the heeling off lead, she ran out of the ring gates, luckily I was able to call her back! On the group stays, she did awesome, (which is odd) but we were already disqualified. We were awarded a free skunk toy. I think it meant we stank!

Sunday- After Saturday, I didn't have too much hope left. I just wanted to walk out of the ring with my head still on my shoulders. However, she fooled me. She did everything perfectly, except for her figure eights, which she performed half of on my right side. I think she's playing tricks on me! We got fourth place, a pretty trophy and a ribbon. It looked really odd by the skunk.

Anyway, we had a great time and I'm not going to complain about her imperfections, she did what she did. =)
