Uggh... got bitten in the palm of my left hand by a client's dog today (I've groomed dogs for a living for 18 years).

If I'm a little slow on responses and such, it's because I'm not up to typing at that moment, but I'll get back to anyone as soon as I'm feeling better!

Owie! >.< Did it break the skin badly...? Comes with the territory unfortunately....

Just curious what the salons policy is on biters? Most ones here, any future visits require a muzzle...Can't blame them really...

Hope its feeling better soon! *gives cheer up cookies*

Ow that must hurt!

When I was like 3 or 4 I was bitten by a cat. All I remember was going to the hospital over and over. There were a bunch of stuff they did there, but I don't remember what it was. My mom told me that it wasn't rabies shot, all I remeber was being in this dark room on this table underneath(not inside like and mri, underneath more like an x-ray) a large machine.

Yeah, I would also like to know the policy...

My dog is very badly behaved at the groomers. The groomer that I used to take him too told me never to come back again unless he was tranquilized. Embarassed Smile poor groomers. so Aljan, how badly behaved would a dog have to be to be required to be traquilized?? I just want an idea of how horrible he really is. =)

p.s. Hope your hand feels better. Hand wounds tend to hurt alot and are the most annoying on account of how often your hands are used. =( I burned my hand on my straightener this morning and now I have a 2nd degree burn the size of a quarter on my ring finger... so I feel your pain!! Very Happy Get better!

Uggh... I'll respond to questions later. The bite's doing pretty good, but I got ANOTHER head/chest cold... the third one in 6 weeks. Time to go to the doctor.

Miss y'all - I'll be more active as I feel better.

Well, I was right about Jim and I: he's got walking pneumonia and I've got a sinus infection! I'm glad I made us BOTH go to the doctor. I basically rode out the chills and slept for 24 hours... now I've got a fever that needs to break! Those "Take Care" clinic at WalGreen's are a great way for the uninsured to get reasonable basic health care... our practicioner was EXCELLENT at saving us money, too. I'd definitely go again. I will be happy when both of us are over this, we can spring clean
the house, and hopefully take care of all of the stale yuckiness!

The bite is healing very nicely with no sign of infection, and there's hardly any pain to speak of. In fact, it's easy to forget I have it! That was LUCKY. BTW, I NEVER blame the dog, and I certainly don't blame Moses (10-y-o Collie X Golden).

Hang in there, my friends - can't wait to be back in full-swing... I've got IDEAS! (Look out!) Thanks for the well-wishes... I'll send you all a round of hugs when I don't have something contagious! HAHAHA! Laughing

I hope you and Jim feel better soon, being sick is no fun.
