I'm really confused!

I am brand new... I have read several FAQs and HELP topics. But I'm still confused.

I have an animal that has NO WAI! all across the traits and yet she still comes in near last place during events. What's up? What makes a winner? I am certainly not complaining, as joining the event was fun in itself. I'm just trying to learn. Thanks.



I also have a few other animals that are Exotic or extremely rare in breed and/or color. They usually come in close to last place too. Their housing is marked as FINE. What am I doing wrong?

When you look at an event, you will see a list of things, along with a rating: Very High, High, Medium, Low, Very Low. If something is rated Very High, then it counts the most in scoring. So if you have an event with Variation and Colour rated Very High, and everything else Low, then the event is going to be judged mostly on how rare the colour and variation of the animals are. So an animal that is Endangered/Endangered is going to do much better than one that's Overpopulated/Overpopulated, regardless of the stats.
