Aww, thanks! And don't be too jealous: we have a LOT of work to do since he's so green Wink Do you ride or have a horse?

SisKate

I ride and help out at my local riding centre. But I'd love a horse of my own some day! Horses are a lot of work but they are so rewarding! =)

I want a horse to... a saddle bred or a quarter horse

I rode a roan quarter horse once

At horse camp i rode a pony/quarter mix

Your new horse is awesome

Aw, thanks so much, Koneko! Yeah, horses are such a blessing in life, but man, are they a lot of work sometimes Smile Saddlebreds are amazing horses: if I could choose a rarer breed of horse (well, rare for around where I live at least) that would be the one! I've heard that they can be pretty good jumpers as well.

Thanks for writing, this post is kind of old, but I love chatting about horses around the clock. If you ever want to talk equine, feel free to drop me a note! Thanks so much,

SisKate

Scout is doing great, and we jumped 2'6" yesterday for our first time Smile I am so proud of the lil' guy. We have been fighting some battles of spooking at "nothing" every once in a while, but it sure is decreasing the more I ride. Scout has been getting some bad rubs with his blanket straps, so while we wait for his new blanket to come in, he goes without, and I have to arrive at the barn an extra 20 minutes just so I can get him clean (the little butt). He lives in his little sheltered paddock year round and LOVES getting dirty, and having his blanket off may be like a dream come true for my buddy. We are also really staring to build a connection, and he is stating to come to the gate when I call him over, and follows me around whenever he is by me; it's so cute. When I help move jumps before I ride sometimes, he just stands paitently in the middle of the ring turning his head and watching me the whole time. He wants to please me and everyone. I am devoted to Scout.

Oh, geez, I could go on and on forever, but I won't bore you. Thanks for asking, and that would probably be our latest update! See you around Wink
