sry but i find that edward cullen is a let down. he is whinny and insecure, his mood swings are awful and i find that my favourite books were Eclipse and the first one. The last one was a drag. i am not a fan of jacob black, edward cullen, bella swan.
I perfer jasper, his mood is the most like mine. Although i am more of a fan for Lycans(werewolves) i do like jasper who is ofcourse a vampire. I also like alice, carlisle, esme and emmett. not a big fan of blondie(rosalie).

Hehe, I know. I love Twilight and everything about it, but Edward isn't the best, besides being the best boyfriend in the world! My favorite is Carlilse and Jasper, too. I don't like Rosalie, either (haha, blondie, haha).

yeah rosalie sounds like such a snobbish sort of person!!
about edward though y'all are like totally right a bout him but it just sounds so depressing  so I just look past it! ahhh well that's just me   |

Edward used to be my fav character till I started reading the 2nd book. And now Jacob is definitely my fav!!! But who knows, that'll probably change when I read the 3rd book! I also like Alice (she reminds me of my B.F.F.) and I like Emmet, he seems cool. I really don't like Rosalie, Lorraine (she sucks) and Matt (he is definitely a little too friendly for me!)

Hehe, I know. I love Twilight and everything about it, but Edward isn't the best, besides being the best boyfriend in the world! My favorite is Carlilse and Jasper, too. I don't like Rosalie, either (haha, blondie, haha).

That's a rather offensive remark to me. My boyfriend is amazing in his own right - even if he doesn't sparkle in the sunlight. He doesn't dismantle my car, he doesn't prevent me from my friends, he doesn't manipulate me or make me lie to my parents, he doesn't try to intimidate me with his "strength," we make our decisions together, he listens to my ideas, he lets me talk to other guys without going into a jealous rage (and I, him with girls), we can live without being glued to each other's hips, he respects my space, he doesn't watch me sleep, he didn't break into my house prior to our relationship to watch me sleep, et cetera.
Just because he looks like a god, it doesn't make Edward Cullen the "perfect boyfriend." There's nothing to him besides his appearance. There's more to (real) men than their appearances, just as there's more to women than the amount of skin their clothes show.
I still fail to see what is at all appealing about him. Just because someone doesn't turn women's heads when he walks into a room, it doesn't make him any less of a man. x.x So if someone could explain WHY Eddie is the best bf in the world, I would be overjoyed. I'd hate to think the world is really that superficial. |

Could some one tell me the name of the last book? For the life of me, I can't remember! I know it goes, Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse, but then what?

Sorry if I offended you, but you don't need to make such a big deal about it. That's cool and all about your boyfriend not being like Edward, that's great, but I think that this thread is for people who actually LIKE Twilight, and don't come out here to demolish people with their hate for it. Actually, I find Edward a little ugly, but looks are not everything. Edward is not real, he is fictious. No need to freak about something that isn't even real. Please get over yourself.

i know what u mean with the whole bf thing. i don't like edward because he is such a barbie. i love my bf...although he dresses gothic and has blonde hair with blue tips but...no complains*looks at picture and drools*.
I just don't like edyward thats all. or jacob, if bella needed a dog then she could've bought one( atleast they don't force kiss u, rat u out to ur parents and they don't try to beat up ur boyfriend). (okay so my dog does growl at Chase(bf) sometimes. |

| I haven't read Twilight or watched the movie yet but I plan on it. There are so many different opinions about the books and the show. It does bug me though that books and t.v. normally set up such a fake model of how people especially teenagers should be in the real world. I would love to hear for once a realistic story with realistic expectations. That is kinda getting off topic though. Anyways I am planning on reading the books |

This, was my twilight movie critique. I went to the premier (the EARLY one. even before the official one  ) and i can still hear the ringing of girls screams in my ears.

It was almost as if he was still getting over the fact that he'd been picked to be in a movie! I could just see him still lulling it over in his head..."me, wow, im really in a movie. me!! can you believe it?"
CHARLIE: juuusssttt fit the bill.
ALICE: was adorable.
BELLA: 's acting was painful. Really, really painful. While James was attacking her, it was almost embarrassing. She yells like a man and her moaning was very, very unattractive. Not to mention the cross-eyed grimace which made her look retarded. Her expression was stuck in one of boring monotone the entire time. She blinked too much and was always shaking her head. It looked as though she was holding her breath the entire time. Her narrating sucked. Awful. Awful awful awful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The running and some of the stunts were boring and unrealistic.
On a good note, I genuinely laughed in a few parts, and I though Victoria, Esme and Emmett were just about perfect.
Overall I found it to be downright shameful. I did not like the "up in your face" way they shot it, or the ugly blue lighting in which the film took place. The angles were sloppy and uninteresting. It had a "reality show" quality that I didn't like. There wasnt enough emphasis of the passion between them and it happened too fast. Bah. Its a good thing the books captured so many hearts (I can still hear the teenage girls squealing and gasping as the theater doors opened) or else this movie wouldn't have a chance in hell. |
That was my verdict. The books were fantastic and faaarrr outweighed the movie (the fourth was my fave) The second movie is coming out in November and THANK GOD they've hired a new director, the same guy who directed the Harry Potter movies, so that will be a huge plus! On a bad note though...they're hiring a new guy to play Jacob. Thats going to piss a lot of people off, unless he's hotter than the first Jacob..which I kind of doubt. |
