ok most here probably not old enough to remember but when i was younger my mom let me stay up and watch silk stalkings with her, and i just turned on the tv and guess what they are resending
and just made me so happy cause it used to be my and moms time, because i was big enough she would allow me to stay up late enough to see it with her...in fact i think i have to call her and let her know or send her a msg or something *s*
good old police series, focus on the story and not the big guns...ah happy memories |

I have obviously never seen it, as I was born close to when it endedXD *edit* Yep, I was lucky enough to be born the year of the pigXD
I probably wasn't even watching tv then. But when I was little I loved Dragon TalesXD Who didn't? |

um went more on old disney stories, and other famous producers of old stories like the brothers grimm and the likes
then again i am european so
ooo of course there was musicals, i remember annie, and heidi, etc, though those was of course reruns as they predates even me
most the stuff i remember in fact was not imported but well produced local shows ment to be educational, with lots of learning and singing in it *s* all the old songs we used to know by heart *s*...instead of all the cartoon junk they produce in these days |

The cartoons aren't what's bad. It's the violent anime shows, like Naruto. Oh my gosh, they are horrible!Lately, in the paper, you can find stories about how someone shoots someone or jumps of a cliff or something /because he saw it on a video game or a tv show/. The violence is stupid. It's not like it makes the shows any better. I'm just sick of people saying 'I love Naruto!" as the people watching that kind of violence are the young kids of America, the ones who will eventually become adults and may never shake of the visions they have of that show.
But period, tv has gotten way more violent. And it will only keep escalating. |

um sorry but i disagree in my mind US is spewing out junk in cartoons just as much as they do in the food genre
unlike back in the days of the muppets, mickey mouse etc being on its top..its when we only got to see disney stuff on the odd days like for christmas they had bougth in the christmas show and we had it taped so we could watch it...it was a rarity to get disney movies on it was something only for holidays and such
but no these days its a crime for kids to actualy learn something from watching tv while when i was young we learned songs suitable for kids, we learned of elements, about baking and creation of stuff...i remember a christmas calender show where you each day learned to make a christmas decoration like toilet-roll figures and the like, and we didnt know anything else so we was happy for it and trilled that we had learned something new we could have fun with the next day
luckily they do still produce some series, but its far to much import of junk to fill up the childrens tv these days, i dont mind import as long as its sencefull but nope robots and tech stuff is what it goes in these days...not like Charlie Chalk and the like (used to love it) |
