we were many kids, but alongside with it we also learned of hunting culture and the like, and where i come from that includes animal welfare, its illigal to not have access to hunt when you biggame hunt in case your shot is not corect so it only damage the animal, in which case you have to use an aproved dog to find it and humanely eutanize it see how it all ties togheter and even hunting have to be done humanely, everyone know this where i grew up so its not a problem at all, and its quite normal for kids to be brougth along and get to learn and experience hunting
Its a very different culture in how it operates to how it is in the states, humans had to do it all throughout time, its a balance between caring for the animal, and being able to put it down for food, if it wasnt posible to do it that way then all farmers kids throughout times should have had poor value for animals, instead they most often are the most levelheaded animal carers there are because they seen both sides of the case so to speak.
While today most kids because less living in farming and/or hunting societies dont, and with the few animals they know their parents most often shelter them from missunderstood sympaty so they never learn to balance it out and even in some cases dont learn to grieve in a healthy way. So death scares them more then it should, instead of being a natural accepted part of life. |

There is nothing wrong with hunting if it is done correctly.
I haven't hunted in some time (my body doesn't agree with the hike and the weather any longer) but I did. I started when I was 12. Before that I was involved with the butchering involved from others going. I'm an animal lover but I resepect both life and death. My family didn't hunt for trophies, we ate (or others ate) what was taken legally.
There is nothing wrong with exposing kids to such things if done properly. |

I agree I'm just saying that most kids I know haven't been exposed properly when they see an animal all they think is food. That's the kind of stuff that bothers me not what you're talking about though I couldn't stand to do it.*shudders*
Anyways...... I went to the animal shelter today for Snoopy to get her stitches out. There were several new cats and several old ones that acted like they recognized me I wish we could have more cats but the five that we've got is definitely enough.
So Jinxx what kinds of pets do you have right now? |

I don't believe hunting is all that bad, as long as you keep it under control. And Jinxx, that is great! My dad and I are planning to go 'hunting' our own way; with camerasXD That way, there is no harm to the animals, no mess, and no tacky momentos... Just a nice photo
Anyways... My cat, Sonoma, is really oldXD She's about 16 and a half, but she's feisty Though really all she does is sleep and eat... But I love her to death! Which is probably why she is dyingXD Egh, I shouldn't be joking about it:\ I've had her since I was born, and she is very special to me. She's a Maine Coon, which means she is more likely to get heart disease, which may be the problem. We've had her blood checked and nothing is wrong with her kidney, and she doesn't have cancer. We can't get her to eat much, and she won't even eat chicken any more:[ I was told it was her tase buds, that they were getting old along with the rest of herXD My poor kitty:\ |

hunting is about conservation if done rigthly, and helps keep the populations on healthy levels, which is in these days nesicary in the west cause in most places we pretty much extincted predators, so without taking out the exec animals the whole tribe of em will suffer when winter come and there aint enough food for them
and yeah we hunt for food as said too, in fact i ate just as much or more game meat as i did farmed meat growing up so hunting suplied like 50% + of our meat usage |

We put another ad in the paper for next week's paper. It just says free kittens call for info.Since maybe people don't want males we know others who have females that they're trying to find homes for.Do you think that this will have a better effect? |

i think she intend to spay them first so that wont be an issue
but a visitation contract can be smart, by what i heard from those knowing more it discurage them, that and having to pay, but from what i get your giving them away so not so much, though you could posible charge the fee for spaying them so you get those money back |

We have a bunch of herons here, mostly on the golf course, in sewers, and fishing out of people's backyard pondsXD
I love looking through the classifieds for cats. I look for La Perms, Munchkins, and Snow Shoes but since those are rarer breeds... have only found one or twoXD I have more luck with Maine Coons. |

don't worry about the kitties we are definitely going to check up on them.I have a survey full of questions and if I get the wrong vibe or even if I have a good one we will visit their house. They have an appointment on Wednesday to go get neutered so that won't be a problem. Taco and Burrito have got to be the sweetest kitties.

I hope the kitties go to great homes. =]
Now, time for pictures! XD
This is Dahlia, my first Foster Dog, she has since been adopted.
This is clover, at the hotel, in the area of her first dog show! She wants on the bed.
Clover obviously won the struggle over who got the bed...
This is CoCoaMuffin before her babies.
This is CoCoaMuffin in her outside pen.
CoCoaMuffin in her cage.
CoCoaMuffin after her babies!
She's not willing to share them, yet.
And this is Echo, the proud and tired, Dad. He wasn't invited inside the house with the babies, yet!
That's all for now! |

Adorable pictures! How many ratsdo you have now Chilly?
Echo and CocoaMuffin are precious. by the way how's Blue doing?
Warning: another animal story is coming
Ok I went in to this awesome pet store I think there's only one of them and I went in to buy Sugarbaby's bunny food.On the way in I saw a bunny in a cage seperate from the other rabbits. That was kinda strange. She was right beside the budgies and was obviously terrified. (that's odd for that pet store normally their animals are really happy) So I went over and opened her cage and reached in to pet her.She was really scared but didn't offer to bite until I got to her side then she leaped back and tried to nip.I petted her one last time and then left her alone. She was a beautiful black Netherland bunny with a white "necklace". I was a little worried about her but not knowing that was a female I asked the person at the cash register the story behind the rabbit. She said that's a female and she is probably pregnant. So I got to thinking a pet store is nowhere to have your babies so we called the next day and offered to take care of her at our house whileshe was raising her babies. They sounded kinda interested but told us that they had raised many baby bunnies there when one came to them pregnant and that she would be fine. They took our number though because sometimnes they run out of room and people leave a guinea pig sitting at the door.So I hope the bunny's alright.
btw Sugarbaby got loose out of his cage the other day We finally coaxed him back in. |
