Why does no one want sterile animals? They are still good for showing? I have 5-6 great wolves for auction and no one wants them because they are sterile?

part of the problem is that when it is time for the animal to pass it is VERY hard to replace them sometimes if they are whole it is even worse when they are sterile.
i have lost about 2 AEs this way and about to lose 2-4 more because creaters are no longer playing. not to mention that they would not be able to breed for trading or any other reason. the argument is valid for both sides, though sadly due to people abusing whole animals, the creaters dont have much choice.

Confused I'm spilt, yes sterile animals can still be useful for competition animals. You animal can still earn you millions sterile or not, though yes it will be hard to replace them. Especially with END and AEs. But still some animals are overbred or have poor stats so it's needed. I sterilized my koi stud because he was crossbred 3 times. I have seen some animals with 99 or even 123 offspring!!! Creators do it to ensure they're animals aren't overbred and their rarity knocked down.

Due to breeding rights (or lack thereof) or if it's my creation, their offspring are almost always sterile. However, free replacements are usually possible, in the case of my creations, or easily accessible somehow. -shrug- (Tiger_lily, your second reason - trading - is the main reason mine are usually sold sterile to all but the most trusted people or people who give equal rights to me. >.<; )
I have no problem with sterile animals. If I was in wolves, I'd probably bid on yours, Drmchaser. But... I'm not. Starting up a species with sterile animals tends to be a wee bit difficult. Razz

well depends on why your playing, my playmotivation lay in breeding the best animals all over the board (color variation stats details), eventing for me is a sidebuisnis not in fact for the direct prizes (i dont gamble much), but for prestige as that one raise my steady income on exams over time, i most never enter contests where the entery is above 1000 in fee
