Humans have a big population. So do dogs.
So why is it that when a dog is run over, people cry, when a human is killed, people cover it on live television and when an insect is killed, people laugh?
I don't see the logic in this.

I don't see how that makes killing okay. (Note - killing for your own amusement or to "discover the world," not killing for food). I don't blame your mother for being protective of you, but how can you brag about burying living things alive, put the concept to work with insects, and call it okay? |

look, im just trying to type one sentence that you cant reject.
me and me cuz are 10 year old discovering are world. according to my mom. |
hurting living creatures is wrong. end of story. how many times do we have to say it? it doesn't matter whether it is a grasshopper, cat, dog or human. there is no way for you to justify your actions with your twisted sense of morality so accept the fact that it was an awful thing to do and don't do it again.

that's so true. just because there's plenty more of a creature is no justification for killing it. i was trying to avoid using this argument though because I thought it would kind of seem too much like I was comparing someone who tortures animals to someone who commits genocide and i didn't want to make that leap. |

ok for one thing we aren't dudes. Most of us are girls.......... and for another thing there is no age limit for this site. You can be 6 or 89 and play this game.
I know this statement is coming from almost all of us at SBF.
Think about what you are doing. If it is harmful to the bug, human,or cat etc.... DON'T DO IT! I know you think we are ridiculous but we just love ALL the animals in the world and are trying to get it through to you that hurting them is cruelty no matter who they are. Please atleast look at it from our viewpoint. I've looked through yours before and then realized that that wasn't the way I wanted to treat the creatures in God's world. |

SHUT UP.
All of you. Please. Just stop. Is arguing really going to help? Or change anything.

that doesn't make your actions any less barbaric, merely demonstrates your close-mindedness. |

since miki's been trying to say that it's ok to hurt animals without giving valid reasons for his/her beliefs I'd hardly consider myself to be close-minded about it. if i was presented with a valid debate for that side of the argument i would make an effort to try to understand it even though my opinions would probably not change. just saying "cos its fun" hardly counts as a decent excuse or explanation. |

Oh, I see.
I definately agree with that, Misty, but you should probally remember that from previous posts, she says she's ony 10. Her maturity level couldn't possibly be as high as yours, & she obviously doesn't understand the value of life yet, no matter how big or small it is (I know I didn't >___<). I'd give her a break and just ignore it. She's allowed to do whatever floats her boat, and she probably doesn't want anyone to sink it. |
