it wasn't a glass, it was a medium sized bug caching thing.
plus, they are defiantly NOT rare.
I see them 24 7.

Still, I'd take off a grasshopper's head, but never dare to touch a mantis.

They are?
Cool.
I dun like touching them, 'cause as I said earlier, where I live, you don't see them often at all. & because of that, when you do, you don't go capture it or kill it, you take a pic & watch it.

Omg it's just a plant killing grass hopper and your calling it cruel and inhumane.
can't a kid and her cousin have some fun?

it's a living creature. therefore it is cruel and inhumane. fun is not a term that any sane person should be applying to an act that involves causing pain and misery to a living creature.

Did you dudes read the whole thing that I wrote?
I said there was a bug tunnel thing right next to it.
It hardly suffered.
My mom says you peoples are being silly.
You dudes are immature.
And if you think that I'm immature, its fine by me.

my concern is with the intent, not with the result. the fact remains that you were playing with an animal like it was a toy to see if what you did to it would cause it to die. and you considered it 'fun'.

Some of you dudes are calling grasshoppers animals<
which they are not.
They are insects.
And have a big population, in my back yard. Wink

We went camping on my grandpas friends land.
there were a bunch of lizards.
My mom let me and my brothers bring home 5.
I forgot to tell you dudes, my back yard has no grass what so ever. It's also covered in rocks and weeds and wasps. so we set them free.
my 2 bff's were with me at the time.
so each of us got a small lizard out of the bucket.
one jumped out of there hands.
we could NOT find it. after awhile, when we had set the biggest lizard go. my brother started cracking up. we were confused for a minute until the missing lizard slid down my friends shirt.
Oh and Misty Glen, I didn't really understand what you wrote.

Embarassed

it should be fairly self-explanatory.

and for your information, insects are a class of animal. scientifically speaking, all living things are divided between several kingdoms: plants, animals, fungi, bacteria, and two other kingdoms for certain types of microscopic organisms. So if it's not a plant, fungus (eg: mushrooms), or microscopic organism, it is an animal. This includes dogs, cats, humans, grasshoppers, insects, spiders, fish, etc.

You didn't know the tunnel was there when you did it, therefore you were trying to cause harm to a living creature.

I probably shouldn't poke my nose in here but whoops I did anyways lol
I probably did something like that when I was tiny but now know better and would be horrified which I am. My paents love animals but also have no respect for insects which I do.The only insects I will kill are fleas, ticks, and flies when they're biting my horse.but that's beside the point.Just put yourself in their position and think would I enjoy someone trying to kill me just because I'm not rare? think about it.........
