Back to the original point of this post, cant you still get her spayed now?
How far along is she?
I hate to be the one to say it and I really don't want to upset or offend you but if you can't afford to get her spayed how to you think you can afford to raise a litter?
Just think about it, the birth may not go smoothly so could leave you with a high vet bill or worst case losing mum which leaves you to hand raise a litter (which believe me is far from cheap).
After that there are so many things that could go wrong.
What if she has a large litter? There's all the additional food to buy, lactol if you choose to use it, cost of vacinating for all pups. Then there's keeping them until you find homes.
Like I said I didn't want to be the one to say it but letting her have the litter even if it's a small litter and everything goes smoothly to do it properly will cost more than spaying.
You may think that spreading the cost over the time you have the pups wont seem so bad but you already said your vet lets you pay in instalments so wouldn't it be the better choice than having the litter and still needing to raise enough to get her done later on? |
