So at work we had an evil hamster who is very defensive of his
territory. He bit three people that work there and was going to be
frozen then fed to my bosses snake.
Well I HATE hamsters...but oddly enough I am the only one that the
hamster does not bite. He will sit on my shoulder and eat right out of
my hand.
So I had to take him home with me...after all, he chose me. He is
almost all beige (little white on throat) with red eyes. I still
haven't picked out a name yet, but he is fitting into the family just
the same.
My 2 girl rats love him and under my constant supervision they have
been interacting and all fell asleep in a big pile of fluff.
I will post pictures whenever I find the cord that connects my computer
to my camera. |

I don't like hamsters either. I have like, 5 gal rats, and 3 boy rats. Two of the males I am keeping, but one of them (Parmesan) is just a nasty little *bad word* |

Well I DO like hamsters. Ok, not dwarf ones, those are mean. But syrian hamsters don't bite as much. You can't help the hamster from biting if it hasn't been socialized or hasn't learned that a hand isn't food. But I'm SO glad you saved him because feeding him to a snake is really cruel, it's still an animal, not snake feed. But anyways good luck on your hamster and if you have any questions you can ask me.
P.S.- I have six hamsters. |
