Has anyone noticed that certain endangered animals (in game) are being way over bred?
I mean there's at least 10 Crabbat Arabian Horses on the market
Also the Greater Swiss Mountain Dog AE seems to be on the increase.
It just seems wrong to me. |

I felt your pain, it does seem wrong. That's why I try to sell my animals to only trusted people. But then if I sell it to people I know who might seem trustworthy, they aren't. I look up the numbers and what do you know, they bred one and gave it to an untrustworthy player, without my consent. That's why I DO NOT want my variations getting out or anyone elses that's why I don't sell them without the creator's knowledge and approval. |

Yes it's a difficult one. I don't want to deny ANY player a chance of owning one of these great animals. But you have to be so careful who you rehome to....
Difficult very difficult |

The saddest thing of it is that people are now not trusting me, and I have been on the game for quite a long time, now and I have never done any overbreeding!

Yep. My Nagas and Saddlebreds were all bred to hell. So I've just stopped making things. If people are going to make what I bought worthless, I might as well just not bother. *shrug* |

What's happened to the virtue of respect?
---"Actions speak louder than words."
Mash: I usually ( if under a million dollars ) purchase some of the Ends off the market, sterilize then release. I don't know why I sterilize everything before releasing, I just do - anyway, I know it's not helping, but every time I see a Ragdoll on the market and if I can afford it, I purchase, sterilize then release. You don't want me to even get started on that issue. It's simply ridiculous. -__-
Other than being a sad onlooker, I haven't had to deal with terrible over-breeding of the animals I release to the public - though I am more hesitant nowadays... |

It is a problem...
But you just don't know who to trust these days... well i know all the trustworthy people (i think anyway!) that would be ok to have an endangered animal but if even just one of them gets out then it can cause mass mahem! They just breed, and breed, and breed...
... but how do we fix it? |

That is something that may not be able to be fixed. I'll still hope, anyway, if someone thinks up an idea. |

The least we can do is to try and educate people.
I like to be able to trust people and so far so good. But there may come a time when i foolishly let one out unsterile then, Bobs your uncle, they will be everywhere.
Kat, I also try to purchase End/AE animals that I can afford. I agree that Ragdolls are RIDICULOUS. It kinda calmed down for a while but then people started breeding again.
I just dont know what to do guys. |

people get hold of one and want to make profit to make money on it so they can advance in game
which why i think/guess you can mostly see it in the most popular spicies, ie dog, cat, horses ...the like..and now and again a rodent or two...but try search end animals now on market and the majority of the low prized ones is cats dogs and horses by far.
people is unpatient to get started when they begin...they often aint that interested in the ant hill and the like, they want the animals they have real life pets in
some medle in the lower habitats but a lot prefer the higher level ones and want them, so that they can get the animals there and start working with them, because the 3 before mentioned spicies is so popular its a higher chanse of geting them sold...so they become an aim
maybe opt to remove that you have to have a sertaint amount of money to be able to buy the habitats and leave it at needing the money they actualy cost to build, thus not limiting them so much in the start.
you paid 1 mill fee for an animal and its a missbreed, you only have 20 mill, you just aint going to release that animal, not when your many millions away from having what it takes to be allowed to put in the money to build the enclosures you want.
maybe i am wrong in my speculation but i never saw the point of having like 10 times the amount of money that an enclosure cost, to be allowed to buy it..having to go through all the enclosures to manage to earn up the money etc to get to higher levels, instead of being able to skip the ones not of interest, and not ending up with animals you are going to be dumping after cause they dont really interest you. |

I totally agree, I released Kigers to those who I trusted and helped make that breed, and now, someone(I'm not saying who)bred the Kiger, and tried to make a profit from it, and they
A)Did not ask me or LouLou
B)Was offering it whole
C)W(LouLou and I) asked for these Kigers not to be bred without our permission. Also, I have seen people create a breed, relese a whole to someone that they trusted, and that someone, goes ahead against what the creator asked, and breeds the animal, sells the offspring whole and gets profit. A perfect example of this is the Warrior cats. These days, I am very picky about who I can release wholes to. Also, another thing that I get annoyed about is that people price an end. animal for the price and AE should be at! I understand that if the animal is trained fully to all NO WAI!s, and then I don't have a problem with the price. Also, say someone created a overpop. color, and someone who got a hold of this color, places a stud with the playermade color up for stud for like 50. That's what happened to the Grulla color LouLou and I made. Also, I have a problem, when people Re-create variations, and release wholes, and don't even ask the original creator if it is ok. Ok, rant over, sorry. *hands out yummy hot fresh baked cookies* |

Unfortunately, there's no way to stop it from happening except to make the animal AE (which I don't know about everyone else, but I can't afford that lol). My Nagas, for example, I've never sold, either whole OR sterile. And yet there are dozens in the game now. If someone else buys a pair and breeds the hell out of them, there's nothing I can do about it. It sucks, but I doubt it'll change any time soon. I would absolutely LOVE to have it cost MORE tokens for someone to buy an already created variation/colour/whatever. As long as people can buy an already made Endangered animal for a fraction of the cost of making their own, they'll ruin things for the player that DID put the money into creating it. |
