There are some great recipes out there for pet cookies too. If you're raising money for an animal society, it makes sense to have goodies for the four-leggeds too, right? |

If it's cold where you are (it's frigid where I am), try something warm and steamy. Hot chocolate is a good idea, try maybe heating the cookies up before you put them out...
Oh, and how about those giant pretzels? Those are good, too. Yep, yep. *nods* Might be a bit hard to manage, though... |

Misty Glen wrote: | It's not just about what you sell, but the way you sell it too. Fresh baked anything always sells very well if it's still steaming from the oven, and has the added benefit of drawing the customers so that they check out everything else you're selling as well. If you have access to an oven try to time things so that you're taking out fresh baked biscuits or muffins just as you're starting to run out of them on your stall. Have the dough prepared the day before so that all you have to do is cook them.
Pancakes do well too. | Good idea, I might have access to an overn, depending where I am setting up my stand. |

coffe for adults...easily fixed by having hot water and powder coffe or something thus you just replace the water (and avoid the cold making the coffe half warm as most dont like half cold coffe) as well the powder left over can be stored to later events as the glasses usualy can stand for a while |

hm...good idea, although both places that I may be having my bake sale at have coffee machines(sp) and microwaves, so that if the coffee gets cold, we can always heat it up.

In Australia sausage sizzles and hot soup do well in cold weather, and if you ask local bakeries and butchers you may have a good deal on the basics if not an outright donation.

Pies sometimes go over well. Cupcakes, brownies, and cupcakes - especially cupcakes made to look like dogs - all went over really well.
