Well, i fancied a go at something a bit more challenging, so i had a go at a horse head. So,... how did i do?
Oh, and how much would a piece like this be worth???

I like it! It's a million times better than I could do! I fail at horses...I fail real bad. But yours is amazing! |

Heres my critique/suggestions:
I would turn your smudge tool down if you want it more realistic, however I like the abstract effect it gives in this pic. The eye seems to stick out with all of the blended smudgyness around it and I have to add, horses don't have round pupils, they are ovals. I would suggest not outlining the bright reflection in your horses eye, it will look more realistic. The angle and thickness of the mouth look off to me, think of how the bones under the skin are positioned and it will help you get it better.
Shading and highlight wise, I like the highlight on the neck, it really draws your eye. Next time mabey try and have the other bulging muscles of the neck highlited too, such as the crest and the bulge at the top of the neck. I think the nose would look more natural if you darkened the colors. In general the muzzle is darker that the rest of the horse (unless it is a brown horse, then it is tan <3)
Overall, I like it. I think the colors look very pretty and I really like the boldness of the highlight on the neck. As for pricing, I have no clue at all lol. It all depends what style everyone is currently into at the moment. You could auction it off, that would give you an idea. |

lol I wouldn't call my self an expert You've seen my stuff right? I just spend so much time around horses/studying horse conformation/drawing horses that my eye is used to seeing certian things and knows what to look for. Everything just takes practice ^.^ |
