Aw man...I feel like smashing my computer >.<
Okay, so I tried downloading this audio device thing for my computer, all was going well, except still my computer couldn't recognize the program and extension, etc. So I gave up. What a bummer, anyway, that's not what I was going to say with this thread.
Today, I was going to go and finish up Vitani's horse picture, and when I opened up my documents, wala, EVERYTHING IS GONE.
I feel like crying, actually. Frustration, anger, irritation, etc.
EVERYTHING IS GONE. All my photos ( family and pets ), all my art that I had NEARLY finished, Ed and I's conversations, everything.
I'm...I'm...I don't know how to accurately describe it. But, I'm not happy, kind of just adds to the depression, because one. I have to redo all the drawings ( some of them I've spent quite a few hours on just in the lining process ) and...all those photos from my camera were erased, so now, I have literally lost them.
Great.
I've already hunted through every single file that my computer holds, the recycle bin, EVERYTHING, but alas, the files and everything in them have just disappeared in thin air.
I'm currently going "wtf" and shaking my head, and now...I'm staring at lack of folders and files.
So, needless to say, I'm not happy and am bound to be grumpy for the next century over this. I'll go hide under a rock now :\
-sighs heavily-
Thanks for hearing out my rant, cookies to you.
Sincerely,
the rock hiding folderless Kat. |

Oh man. That sucks Kat. I lost all my course work (just before it needed to be handed in) when my computer started acting like silly bugger.
Its terrible especially when all your photos and such have gone. Although I have heard of people who CAN retrieve deleted files, although it's more than likely quite Chiching.$$ |

I can't offer any advice...Just share the feeling of horror and then the moment of brief insanity with you...Had it 2 years ago when my pc just...died. Couldn't even be turned on and to this day, "they" never could tell me why except a vague suggestion of old age before scuttling off to attend a teenager pointing at the most expensive item in-store...Leaving me to go home, kick a cinder block in frustration and break two toes...Pah >.<
I sympathize with the loss of pictures that cannot be replaced ( I still don't completely trust the relationship between my digital camera and the computer ) and with the loss of artwork that was hours of hard work...I know that nothing I really say can help, but p'raps the sympathy of myself and others will give some small measure of comfort during this extremely irritating time...Cyber hugs and cookies aren't solid, but the warm feelings behind them are
I can only speak for myself, but I'm fairly confident anyone else waiting on artwork from you feels the same...Just forget about it till everything calms down and you can try and sort the mess out...It's not the highest priority and you don't need any added stress...
*gives warm hugs and extra cookies shaped like smiley faces*
When it's born, I have a present for you...Not much, but hopefully it'll make you feel a little better, if only for a few minutes |

Aww, I'm so sorry. I know how you feel, even though you may not agree because I didn't lose as much. But my computer was taken to the shop after it was having some problems & with out any warning, the people call us up & tell us that they decided to clean off the hard drive ... deleting forever everything I had...
*offers condolences* |
