Paint a smile on my face.
(You'll never realize that it's fake)
I'll make you think you know the truth,
but pull the rug from under you.
I'll laugh outside with bravery,
When, In fact, I'm afraid;
Letting show a side of me.
(... The truth's beneath the Paint.)
Putting on the make-up,
Hoping that I'll hide the Stress.
With color's Brightly neon-- Blinding.
(You won't notice I'm a mess.)
I'll make you laugh, I'll make you scream,
I'll make you have much fun;
...But then again, beneath the paint,
I hide the truth from Everyone.
You'll never see the paint washed off;
Around the world, It's on.
But when it's night time, In my bedroom,
Someone different comes along.
I now am frowning, wearing stressmarks,
As if they were the new "in.
No paint left to paint myself,
I see just who I am.
And in the mirror, without make up,
What's Inside begins to show.
Paint my face with neon colors.
(What's inside? You'll never know...) |
