Cool, how'd she get pregnant. By that I mean did you mean for this to happen? If you didn't you should make sure that you know how much responsibility pups are and that you shoudln't just dump them on the side of the road when they pee on a rug or chew up a carpet. Are you also sure you can pay the vet bills for the pups, make sure yoiur dog delivers safely. Do you know where the puppies will go to for homes and will you be able to devote your time to them. Many dogs end up at kill shelters because of this so I'm just hoping you know what your getting yourself into. I don't think it is right she is pregnant at such a young age and being the runt or very small could lead to problems with the pups or your dog. But I hope she makes a safe delivery and update me. |

Yes, puppies can be fun, but she does seem a bit young. All of my dogs/cats/bunnies are all "fixed" to prevent surprises like this. But anyway, congrats if all goes well! Do you have any idea who the father is? |

I'm sorry, if it were an accident I would be happy for you, but allowing two mutts to breed 'because its fun'? There are shelters filled to the brim with unwanted dogs, many even purbred, and thousands get put to sleep because they are unwanted. The fact that you are bringing more mutts into the world 'because it's fun' is just plain wrong.
If you really want a puppy, go the pound and adopt one, you'll save a life. By breeding more all you are doing is taking away chances for homes form the dogs that already exist. If you bred 2 purebreds together, then thats ok, but 2 dogs of different breeds? Don't create mutts!
I don't care if you are 'rich' or if you think you'll keep them for the rest of your life. What is something happened to you, who wants a houseful of un-altered mutts? You have to think about things like that before bringing new life into the world!
[/rant]
Also, spaying and nutering your pets prevents many different diseases such as prostate cancer. Sterilizing animals is good for their health. |

I don't care if you have a licence, you still should alter your mutts. Where is the licence from? If it was accidental then I understand, but you make it sound like your thrilled that they mated. There is no excuse to breed mutts. |
