Not very pleasent

We've lost not one but TWO of our pigs recently. We called the vet out to them on monday as they hadn't eaten or drank for 2 days. When we got into the pen one was already dead . The vet gave injections to the other (steroid) to try and help her recover a little, but by tuesday she was even worse. Unfortunatly pigs cannot be "injected" when being put to sleep. They have to be shot. No one could come out and do it for us. We had to wait until TODAY for the second pig to be put to sleep. It's so sad that we had to lose two at the same time and even worse that the second had to suffer those extra couple of days just because DEFRA couldn't come out to us
