The first ever Ottawa Valley Acres Goldfish Champions Event Qualifier is now up in the event listings.

Come on goldfish lovers!!
Let's have some fun and sign up for this event. The winner gets an invite to the Ottawa Valley Acres Goldfish Club for October 07 and a spot in the Champions event to be held as a club event on Nov. 1st/07.

All the Qualifier winners or Top place non-qualified fish in each qualifier will get an invite as the month progresses. It looks to be a great time for Goldfish lovers and for lovers of fun competition!!!

Some things to clarify:

If you win a qualifier and you have not qualified yet you win an invitation to apply to be apart of the club. If have been invited and you apply you will be accepted and you earn the right to compete in the Champions event for the month your qualifier was held in.

Once the Champions event is complete, everyone from the club is let go and we start the qualification process over again for the next month.

If a fish wins a qualifier and has already qualified for the Champions event in a previous qualifier then the highest place non-qualified fish gets the invite to the club/champions event.

A farm can have up to four fish qualified for the Champions event.

The Champions Event will be run as a club event to help prevent non-qualified fish from entering. It will be a $10,000 entry fee and have a $100,000 purse. I will also send the winner one token. Club members can add to the prize if they wish through donations. Each champions event will be held on the first of the month.

So this means The October/07 champions event will be held on November 1st, 2007.

It is my hope that this initiative will increase the enthusiasm for breeding and showing Goldfish (and creating colors, varities and details too). I also hope it serves to develop the depth and scope of Goldfish competitions on Sandbox.

Anyhow, looking forward to seeing fellow Goldfish enthusiasts at the events.

Big congratulations for =SummerDragoness=Palla= owned by Ahkahna for being the first Goldfish ever to win an OV Goldfish Champions Event Qualifier and become the first ever fish invited to the Ottawa Valley Goldfish Champions Club. Once in the club the fish will be able to participate in the Champions Event on Nov. 1st/07.

The club membership will only be for October. The fish will have to qualify again in November to get back in.

Congratulations to Night Golden Lion , owned by NightRider555 [#13241] for qualifying tp join the club for the October Champions event to be held on Nov. 1st/07. Night Golden Lion won the OV October Champions EVent Qualifier #2.

Well Ahkahna has applied to the club and has been accepted which means the goldfish =SummerDragoness=Palla= will be eligible to compete in the Champions event on Nov. 1st/07.

We ahve two more qualification winners that still need to apply to the club. Night Golden Lion owned by NightRider555 and unamed owned by Rio Saris won the most recent qualifiers and as a result can apply to the club and therefore get a spot in the Champions EVent.

OV October Goldfish Champions Event Qualifier #4 is about to up in the envent listings. Go sign up for some fun and a cahnce to make it into the Champions event.

unamed owned by Galen won the Ottawa Valley October Goldfish Champions Event Qualifier #5 and becomes the next fish eligible to compete in the Champions event on Nov. 1st/07.

Reminder all owners who have fish who have qualified must join the Ottawa Valley Goldfish Champions Club to be able to compete in the Champions Event. The Champions eEvent is held as a club event. So if you did qualifiy but are not a member of the club you will not be able to compete.

Just what to give a special shout out to Ahkahna, Rusty and Galen who have applied to the club and have been accepted. Their respective fish that qaulified : =SummerDragoness=Palla=, ~Showstopper~, and unamed will now be able to compete in the Champions event to be held on Nov. 1st.

We are still waiting for applications from Nightridder555 and Rio Saris. I hope to see them soon.
