I have raised rabbits for many years..probably close to 30 years easily. Both show rabbits and pet rabbits. When you've got a rabbit, and particularly the dwarf lops are notorious for being a bit naughty and bite and can at times be nasty there's really no way to make them behave. No distraction will ever make them behave. They are a aprt of nature and they have their own will. they are not like dogs and even tho you can at times train rabbits to do tricks and do things you can not easily stop the kind of behaviour you are talking about. I have seen very sweet dwarf lops but I've seen some that would rather chew your hand off as well. I guess my suggestion would be...being a male rabbit you could try having it neutered and it would not have the urge to attack as much..or my other suggestion rather than have him put to sleep is to see if you can find someone that would want to take on his challenging attitude and have him off of you. I myself have taken on quite a few "challenge" rabbits. Some with attitude problems and some because they were ill. I've never had to put one to sleep tho because I could not handle them. |
